What is it?
A 50/50 raffle is a fundraising method where participants purchase tickets for a chance to win half of the total proceeds raised.

Here's how it works:

Ticket Purchase: Participants buy tickets for $25.00 each. For each ticket purchased, the buyer's name is manually written onto a ticket and added to the final drawing.

Drawing: Once all tickets are sold, a drawing will be held on Purim (The holiday of lotts) to determine the winner. This will be done manually, by pulling a ticket from the container.

Prize Allocation: The prize for this raffle is half of the total amount collected from ticket sales. For example, if $1,000.00 worth of tickets are sold, the prize would be $500.

Verification: To ensure fairness and transparency, organizers maintain both digital and manual records of ticket purchases. This double-checking process ensures that every purchased ticket is included in the final drawing.

Payment: Payment for tickets must be made upfront; organizers do not charge accounts for ticket purchases. 

Overall, a 50/50 raffle offers participants a fun way to support a cause while having the chance to win a prize, with the added assurance of transparent ticket tracking and fair prize allocation.
