A Note From Our President

Welcome to Congregation Torat Emet, The Main Street Shul!
From our humble beginnings as a "one-room shul house" in a small office building on Main Street to our beautiful full-service building in the same location, our congregation continues to dedicate itself to being an open and neighborly community.

Everything we do is informed by an adherence to halacha and permeated with a spirit of chesed and service.  Our weekly kiddushes are prepared by our volunteer kiddush teams and families in need are assisted by our chesed committee.  We are very blessed with an amazing staff who guide us, serve as role models and provide support as needed.

We welcome you to join us in daily and Shabbat services, life cycle events, youth programming, adult education classes, or social events ranging from informal movie nights to the formal and entertaining Main Event  There truly is something for everyone at Main Street.

Come for a visit and see what we have to offer.  We all look forward to meeting you!

Monica Calabrese

Monica and Joe moved to Columbus from New York in 1980 with her employer when Joe decided to attend graduate school, with every intention of moving back East when Joe completed his degree.  Instead, they became advocates of Columbus and remained to build their family here.
