Safety & Security Corner
The Community Security Service (CSS) in-person training session last Sunday went extremely well and we have a strong and enthusiastic group of volunteers! The volunteer team will be laying the groundwork and preparing to start “standing shift” over the next few weeks.
As part of this process, some changes will be made in our facilities and operations. Some of these will be “behind the scene,” but others will be more visible, and some will need everyone’s help.
As one example, many men leave their tallit bags in the synagogue. We are requesting that everyone label their tallit bag so that the owner’s name be easily visible without opening the bag. This will allow the CSS team to more quickly identify bags that belong in shul, and those that don’t. Eventually, bags that are not labeled will be removed.
We look forward to adding our CSS volunteer security team to the other safety initiatives that we’ve implemented in recent months!
Shabbat Shalom!
Thank you to to for partnering with us to provide our security for Shabbat and Holidays
Join the New Chesed Committee! Dear Fellow Congregants,
It would be my privilege to partner with you, the Torah Emet Community, in designing and executing a most holy mission.
It is my hope to work together to build ongoing support for our members in times of sickness, stress and loss through acts of Chesed. As a start, I am asking for volunteers to help design effective strategies to connect our community members with opportunities for service. The range of needs are of course vast, encompassing Bikur Cholim, Meals, Regular Check-ins, Social Action and so much more.
Would you like to get real time Torat Emet notifications, hear about volunteer opportunities, and share cheerful tidings and thoughts with fellow Torat Emet members here and in Israel?
Have meaningful and uplifting social and informational conversations (no politics allowed) with your Torat Emet friends. We look forward to hearing from you.
