Important Covid Message
Dear Members and Friends,
As the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus continues to spread, we want to share with you the risks and recommendations for attending services and other programs at Torat Emet based on CDC data and guidelines, as well as the recommendation of the City of Bexley.
If you are currently unvaccinated, there is a high risk of infection and serious illness. We recommend that you undergo vaccination immediately. If you are unable or unwilling to be vaccinated then you should strongly consider not coming to shul due to your risk of contracting COVID-19. If you choose to ignore the risks and attend services, then you must mask, wash your hands, and maintain a six foot distance at all times.
If you are currently fully vaccinated there does exist a lower risk of breakthrough infection and the risk of serious illness is much reduced, however you can still spread the illness.
Therefore, we encourage you to wear a mask and wash your hands upon entering the synagogue facilities.
Anyone with cold-like or flu-like symptoms (runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, cough, and/or difficulty breathing), fever, loss of taste or smell, or any other symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should not come to Torat Emet.
Children under vaccination age should wear masks at all times while indoors at Torat Emet and remain with a parent or be at a children’s group. This does not apply to children 2 years old and younger.
We recognize that the current situation remains fluid and we will continue to monitor the evolving information and update our recommendations as-needed.
