Important Sukkot Service Information:
Hoshanot during Sukkot - Depending on the number of people in shul, we will either have 1) Regular Hoshanot with members keeping a six foot minimum separation during Hoshanot Hakafot or 2) One person make a Hakafah on the bima while we recite the daily Hoshanah.
Simchat Torah - Instead of traditional Hakafot with singing and dancing and food, the Sifrei Torah will be walked once around the bima for each Hakafah followed by a five-minute D'var Torah given by a Torat Emet member.

We would like men and women to volunteer to share D'vrei Torah in the evening and morning of Simchat Torah covering topics in TaNaCh as follows:
1st Hakafah - Bereshit
2nd Hakafah - Shemot
3rd Hakafah - Vayikra
4th Hakafah - Bamidbar
5th Hakafah - Devarim
6th Hakafah - Haftorah/Neviim
7th Hakafah - Chamesh Megillot/Ketuvim
- There will be one Main Torah Reading and one Women's Torah Reading.
- Vezot HaBracha will be read only once at each reading.
Important information if you decide have guests in your sukkah this year (NOT recommended). There are two critical considerations before you invite any guests:
1) Is your sukkah big enough to allow all of your guests to sit at least 6 feet away from you and any family members in your household.?
2) Have you modified your sukkah to allow for good airflow? A typical sukka with one doorway is almost the same as being inside.
For some ideas and guidelines on how to build or modify your sukkah into a “safe” sukkah, please check out the link below.
