ALVIS HOUSE- sorting clothing at Hope's Closet and writing notes for the "Words of Encouragement" campaign. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Alvis House serves individuals with criminal justice backgrounds who are reintegrating back into society, and their vision is of a community where an individuals past shouldn't limit their future potential.
Hope's Closet is a space for their clients to come and pick up new/gently used clothing items for interviews, etc. It is typically both men’s and women’s business and business casual attire. This service is entirely free to clients, and a safe space for them to pick up new clothes that aren't linked to their past lives.
For the Words of Encouragement Campaign, they have art supplies (cards, pens, colored pencils, markers, etc.) set up for volunteers to create positive notes fort their clients. This could be a motivating quote or drawing, etc. and they pass them out to clients in their facilities.
The address is 2100 Stella Court, Columbus OH 43215 and there is a free parking lot attached to the building. alvis180.org
